Matt Litchfield

Known as Mungo or Fat Matt, Matt is another sports enthusiast who enjoys playing with odd shaped balls! Matt has been a footballer and rugby player since as far back as he can remember. Due to his athletic physique Matt has honed his footballing skills as a goalkeeper (minimal running about). On the rugby field he plays in the front five, affectionately known as the fat boys. Matt’s Sunday league football career was cut short when he decided that it was no fun getting up early on a Sunday after the night before. Also his performance between the sticks was slightly impaired by not being able to lift his arms above his shoulders after the previous days propping!!

Matt is a keen ornithologist (however, declines to say if it is the feathered or female variety that he is most keen on watching) and is the proud daddy of two gorgeous little boys Thomas and Nathan William Jonny (born in November 2003 funnily enough!!). When asked for his 3 favourite things, Matt gave Ipswich Town Football Club, ZZ Top and Chocolate (which explains the second of his two nicknames). Matt has spent the last 15 years of his working life managing people in retail and home shopping via the internet. He has recently found his true vocation and management ability reaffirmed by winning the Bedford Swifts RUFC Fantasy Rugby Championship for the second time.
